Being Crafty

We have all been super crafy these past week or so. Here's a little run down. I found this fabulous crochet scarf pattern that I have started making. After a friend at work bought two from me, I decided I should sell more. I really enjoy making them. They don't take much time and they are beautiful and comfy when complete. I have been busy, busy filling orders and loving every chance I get to crochet when the boys are sleeping or busy with something that doesn't require my attention.
Here are just a few of the complete scarves from this past weekend.
And here is how it looks wearing it. The pic really doesn't give it justice. It is quite cozy.
Our elf, Scout, has been busy popping up in new places each morning. The boys LOVE looking for Scout. Although Walker doesn't understand the point of Scout, he loves walking around and point to wherever Scoout may be. Here are just two of the places Scout has popped up.
Over the weekend, Wyatt and I made salt dough ornaments for the tree upstairs. They turned out great and somehow I didn't get a picture of us doing this fun activity. We cut out christmass shapes and of course had to make Star Wars ornaments with cookie cutters we have. Such appropriate boy ornaments.
On Tuesday, Wyatt's class had a little Elf Tea Party. Each child was asked to bring a little Elf snack to share with the class. Wyatt loves Rice Krispy treats, so he helped me make miniature treats in the shape of christmas trees wtih garland and an mini-M&M topper. They were a hit. The kids were so cute at the tea party. I was able to go help out with set up and supervising. It was fun to see them with their miniature tea cups toasting their class elf. Priceless!!
Both the boys have Winter Parties coming up. Tomorrow is Walker's party at school and Wyatt's is scheduled for Monday. I found this cute idea on Pinterest and thought it would be nice for the boys to give treats to their friends. So I set out to make these and whew!, they have been a bit tedious as I made three dozen of them. They turned out quite cute though and both boys are quite excited about them.
Creativity and crafts have been abundant at our house this christmas season. It has been so great to be able to do these fun activities with the boys as well as fulfill my own creative drive. :) Thank goodness my Christmas shopping is complete and the presents wrapped. Just 10 more days until Christmas and we are enjoying every moment of this holiday season! Hope you are too!!
