One heck of a month

January was one heck of a month! It was full of projects, laughs, school events, and wrapped up with one heck of a rash. We begin by planning out, building and painting a hall tree for the area beside our back door. This past fall Mommy was over having everything collect on the kitchen table and every evening having to shove it all aside so we could eat dinner. After looking at many ideas on Pinterest, it was time. It took a long weekend to complete. Walker wanted to help.
Matt did a fabulous job building it. I spent two days sanding, painting, sanding, painting and painting some more. It turned out GREAT!!! I just finished putting baskets in the shelves to help organize things (and deter Walker from using the shelves as a ladder). We are loving having a quick place to put shoes, coats, bags, mail, etc.
And I love that I finally have reclaimed the kitchen table. We have a basket of flip books with word families for Wyatt to practice as he munches on a snack, and I'm okay with that. It is just so nice to not have a collection to move each night!
Wyatt had several school events this month including Donuts with Dad. Matt was able to get someone to watch his class so he could be there with Wyatt which was so great.
Wyatt also had his 100th day of school!! Wow! They were asked to bring a collection of 100 ideas, a 100 small treats for snack, and to dress up like a 100 year old. I made Wyatt a fun shirt with a bow tie and suspenders. Add a little baby powder to the hair and voila! Matt took his picture that morning and told him to look grumpy. Isn't he cute!!
What else. . . the boys found a nice new hiding place. They think it is hilarious to pull out all of the toys and shut themselves in each on their own shelf.
And, yes, we ended the month with one heck of a rash!!! Poor Walkman, after 10 days of this progressive rash, we finally got him steroids to help. Apparently he had some strand allergic reaction to a cold virus. Weird. Finally the rash is gone and the steroids that made him CRAZY are out of his system.
Whew! What a month! Life is never dull at our house! :)
