Wyatt's Bowling Birthday Party

This afternoon we celebrated Wyatt's 6th  birthday six days early with his birthday party at the bowling ally.  We invited the boys from his class this year which worked out great!  We all had a blast and are quite worn out now. :)
[Disclaimer: this post is FULL of pics from our fun!]

Wyatt made the comment when I was setting up Walker's birthday back in March that I "make" awesome parties.  Well, I had to deliver and Wyatt says I "made" him an AWESOME party too!  Yay!
Here are the invitations I created to go with the theme.
All of the boys, including Walker, were eager to start bowling.  We bowled for a little over an hour which was more than enough.  Most of the boys lost interest near the end of the second games.  Oh well.  They are boys. . . they were ready to EAT!

Even Walker got a few turns in.

Love the thrill of a strike!
All the crazy boys lined up for a pic.  So silly!
I made these table decorations to help add to the fun!  Wyatt loved them.
Of course we had cupcakes with RED icing (Wyatt's fav color).  The boys each wanted the bowling pin toppers and were all vying for the bowling ball candle.

Time for pizza, ice cream and cupcakes!

presents!  It is so funny to listen to the comments from 6 year olds about how awesome their gift to the birthday boy is.

Each kiddo went home with a little party favor that included a bowling pin water bottle.  They were certainly a hit.
To wrap things up, Wyatt just finished filling out these cute Thank You notes to each of his friends.  Yes, he will learn the etiquette of writing Thank You notes as long as he is under my roof. :)  He did a great job with a little prompting for spelling.
Now, it is time to recover.  I certainly hope the ringing dies down in my ears soon .  A dozen 6 year old boys can really raise the volume when they are excited and hopped up on some sugar. :)  Wyatt really had a blast and loved getting to celebrate with his friends.  Only two and a half more days of school left, then the boys are Out for Summa!!
