Our Big News!!

 Yep!   We are SO excited to announce we are expecting a baby!! 

This baby has been prayed for for awhile.  We unfortunately suffered a heartbreaking loss this summer at 6 wks, but we took comfort in the Lord's plan and waited on His timing.  In August we found out that we were expecting.  Nervous and anxious, we spent each week wondering if this one was ok and healthy.  At 8 wks we had our first ultrasound and there the peanut was heart beating away at 154 beats per minute.  What a JOY!!  Finally!  I could enjoy the fact that I wasn't green with nausea and actually able to keep my meals down.  This has been SO SO SO very different from my pregnancies with both the boys.

 Today we went in for our 12 wk ultrasound and the nuchal cord test which evaluates for possible Down Syndrome.  This ultrasound was quite an adventure.  This lil guy or gal wiggled and moved, bucked and waved its arms around every time the ultrasound tech would try to get the measurement she needed.  Finally, it threw it's hands up dramatically as if to say "I give up!"  It was rather funny.

 And here is the funky, funky 3D ultrasound pic we got of the baby.  It looks quite alienish but you can see its fist are up as if it was getting ready to box with us.  This one will certainly have to learn to roll with it and defend itself as the baby of the family, so it's good that it is practicing early. :)

The boys are excited.  Wyatt prays for a sister each night and says this will be the coolest baby as long as it is a girl.  Silly boy!  Walker will pat by belly and tell you there's a baby in there.  He really doesn't understand what that means and the way this baby is going to rock his world come April.  It will certainly be interesting. :)

We are so blessed and thankful for this little one and will certainly work to keep this blog updated with all we have going on with our growing family.
