Grand

On Saturday, my mom, Walker, Lillian and I traveled to Clarksville to visit with my grandmother, Grand. Lillian had only met her once in July and Walker loves a good adventure.  We took her a yummy lunch from The Picnic in Belle Meade.  (It's one of her favorite spots.)  We didn't stay long as Grand tends to tire out more quickly these days, but we did enjoy lunch and some playtime.

We were able to try a pic with Grand and Lillian, but first I have to share the story of our family name.  I want it written so we can always remember and pass it along.  So my sweet girl is the 5th Lillian Sarah. The name originated with my great-grandmother whose original name was L S.  That was her name, L S.  So, when she got to be a young woman she decided it she wanted to change her name to names that started with those letters. She loved the names Lillian and Sarah, so that's what she changed it to.  When she finally had a daughter, my grandmother, she passed along the name.  My grandmother was Lillian Sarah Hammett.  My grandmother carried on the name when my mom was born, naming her Lillian Sarah Bradley. Then I came along.  Mom decided to keep the name for me but to switch the order, so I was named Sarah Lillian Nanney. Now I have my sweet girl and have the honor if passing the name along. I love that this name has carried down to a fifth generation.  It is rare to see in women a name pass down. Usually it's just one name, but in our family it's the two.  What's also great in my grandmothers initials were LSH and so are my sweet girl's, LSH, Lillian Sarah Hill.

So without further ado, here are Lillian Sarah and Lillian Sarah!
