The Curveball

So Sunday evening as I was trying to feed Lillian (who wasn't interested in eating) I was hit with the worst abdominal pain I had in my entire life. It was unrelenting, incredible pain.  After about 30 minutes, I decided I couldn't handle it and needed to go to the ER. Matt loaded up the kids and off we went to Williamson Medical Center. I had Matt drop me off and take the kids home.  My dad met me in the ER. He was a trooper being by my side until mom could get there.

WMC was amazing. They got me right back.  I saw a doctor right away and within an hour had an IV with pain medicine going and ultrasound completed. The ultrasound tech was hysterical with her british accent telling me all she could see. She said I had "a lovely collection" of stones in my gallbladder. So I got admitted and added to the surgery schedule for Monday. What a curveball!!  This was the first time I've ever been apart from Lillian overnight.  Mom got in from Vegas around 1:30 am on Monday and stayed with me. Matt took excellent care of our sweet three keeping them from worrying about mommy while I was in the hospital for 3 days. Surgery was done late Monday afternoon.  On Tuesday I should have gone home but they were having a hard time controlling my pain and I couldn't eat yet.  Finally in a bit better shape, I got to come home Wednesday afternoon. I still have a ways to go with recovery but at least I get to do it at home.

My sweet three are so happy I'm home. Wyatt and Walker have been so gentle and caring. They are pretty impressed with my three holes. Ha ha!  Lillian has been so happy to snuggle with me. I am so happy to have this behind me.  Thank goodness I will never have to do that again. So if you see me and I'm walking like a 100 year old person, you'll know why.
