Today I got a call from Matt saying he was headed my way with Walker. That's never a good thing for him to be headed to me at the hospital. Poor Walker had tripped at school and split open his eyelid when he fell into a table. He apparently handled it really well until he saw me. . ,then the tears came. . . for us both. Poor buddy.
Walker was a trooper though and handled his stitches like a champ. He had to have a two layer closure just like last time he had stitches. Three stitches of the fascia and a running stitch on top. Buddy goes big!
He got a yummy ICEE and then headed home with Daddy to get a treat and sleep off his loopy medicine.
By the time I got home, Walker was happy, playing and doesn't even remember actually getting the stitches thanks to Versed.
He's got a rockin' shiner that I'm sure will look even worse tomorrow. He's such a trooper!
