We wrapped up an awesome year in 2017 and are SO excited about the adventures 2018 will bring!
I successfully lost over 30 lbs in 2017 and am working towards getting down to my goal weight bit by bit so I can have by ventral hernia repaired. What a process, but one I am determined to do!
CiCi came to visit this past week arriving on New Year's Eve! We had a great week with her getting spoiled and hanging out. Somehow we got very few pictures, I guess because we were busy and living in the moments.
Walker started off the year doing his favorite thing. . . playing with his friends!
The girls loved hanging out for a good long while each morning in their pjs and just playing.
On Tuesday all of the kids had their dental check ups! We got a great report with NO CAVITIES for all four kiddos, including Madeline who had her very first cleaning!
She wasn't too sure why someone would want to be all up looking in her mouth, but she did let Dr. Ryan get a look without crying.
While the girls napped that afternoon, I worked on baking cookies. While in the kitchen, I caught a glimpse of a huge bird swoop down to our deck. When I looked out I saw this beautiful creature staring back at me. Wow!
I got some great cookie baking, decorating and packaging in this week! I managed to get a few Valentine samples tried too!
This was the only pic I got of CiCi. We were just so busy.
Matt started a huge new chapter with his first day as Assitant Principal at Grassland Elementary School! He was just so excited and is on cloud 9! He told me this weekend, he was made for this job and I couldn't agree more!
Someone got mesmerized with Beauty and the Beast!
I had a HUGE order of 400 cookies going out this week and was able to get them all baked decorated and package with the help of CiCi keeping kiddos busy and helping finish up packaging! Wahoo!
This isn't even all of them!!
They are for the senior class of 2018 at Franklin High School.
Yesterday, Matt got to do something he has always wanted by cooking an whole pig on his pit. He is becoming quite the pit master!
We had lots of our friends over to enjoy the pork and brisket he cooked. It was quite a night!
We are starting back to our routines tomorrow with a full week of school, basketball, ballet, work, play, and more!!! Our 2018 is off to a great start so far!
