We had the best week with Grammie and Papa in Pigeon Forge!! We stayed in a three bedroom resort room overlooking Pigeon Forge. It was amazing!!
We arrived just as a big storm was coming in, so it was quite nice to have covered parking under the building and a balcony to watch the storm roll through.
After the storm passed, we headed out to dinner at Man’s kitchen! Yummy!
Wednesday, we suited up, sunscreened up and headed to Dollywood’s Splash Country for a day full of fun!!!
The girls had fun at the splash area for kids while the boys went and did a bunch of the big slide adventures. We got in a great bit of fun before they had to stop things for a passing storm. We took advantage and ate lunch then finishing up right as they reopened the attractions.
We had a full afternoon of water play adventures including the wave pool with the girls while the boys went and hit up almost every single fun attraction before lightening returned. At that point we called it a day and headed back to the resort. We had SO much fun and were worn smooth out!!
Thursday we weren’t sure the weather was going to cooperate, so we headed out to breakfast and watched the radar.
Sure enough, the rain chances changed, so we loaded up and headed to DOLLYWOOD!!!
To get the most out of all the fun Dollywood has to offer, Matt headed off with the boys to ride everything they could, and Grammie, Papa and I took the girls over to the rides they could do!
We of course had to waste some money and play some of the games!
After the boys had hit up all the big rides in the entire park, they head over to us for some more fun and rides!
We had the BEST time at Dollywood!!! Such a fun trip for us all!! It was hard to pack up and leave Friday.
We made the drive back stopping for lunch and enjoying a sweet treat too!
We are SO grateful to Grammie and Papa for taking us on such a FUN adventure!!
After unpacking, doing loads of laundry and cleaning out the car, we prepared to say farewell to our trusted Tahoe of 12 years! It has been a great car, but it was time to bid farewell. So Grammie came to watch the kiddos while we went to pick out a new family SUV.
We are excited to be the new owners of a Big Blue Bus, aka the Triple B!
Today we have just chilled and enjoyed a relaxing day prepping for the next few weeks.
We plan on soaking up our last month of summer before school starts back! It’s going to be a fun month too! This little one will start potty training! Yikes!
We’ve got pool plans, summer reading to complete, crafts and projects around the house to do and of course our annual trip to the BEACH!! Stay tuned!
