One week ago. . .

One week ago I was home and feeling like I was going to be pregnant forever. (I know, totally irrational thought.)  I spent the day napping, cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming and mopping.  I took breaks in between these tasks and overall felt ok.  That afternoon Wyatt was gearing up for another great baseball game.  Look how grown up he is looking!!!  Crazy!!  Here he is having me take his picture as he is so proud that he is 6 and has the number 6 on his jersey.
Matt and Wyatt left for the game and Walker in I settled in to watch a movie and play.  About an hour after the big boys left I started having consistent and noticeable contractions every 5 minutes apart.  I didn't want to get my hopes up that this might be it so I ignored them as much as I could.  Once Wyatt and Matt got home the contractions had been coming for an hour every 5 minutes.  I decided they weren't bad so I cooked some blueberry muffins for breakfast.  As long as I kept moving, I didn't feel the contractions too bad.  I decided to just give Mom and Dad notice that this might be it.  I took a shower and decided to call the doctor as it had been almost 2 hours of contractions every 5 minutes.  She wanted me to drink fluids and if they still didn't go away come on in.  So at 9:30 my parents arrived at the house.  Dad stayed with the sleeping boys, and Mom, Matt and I headed to the hospital.  I still didn't want to get my hopes up that this was going to be it especially since I still was not considered to be term.  Hmmm.  So one week ago I spent the night at the hospital laboring away with contractions coming every 3-5 minutes without much dilation progression.  When my doctor arrived Tuesday morning she was ready to get me progressing along.  By that point I was READY.
