We have had a fantastic day celebrating the Easter holiday both at home and at Grammie and Papa's house. The morning started off with the boys checking to see if the Easter bunny came to fill their buckets. Sure enough. . .
They were quite excited to see their treats.
This year I wanted to try to match the boys (no surprise there). They are funny about taking pictures for mommy. I always tell them they have to do nice smiles first and then we can do silly faces. This strategy seems to work so well. Here is one nice pic, and then. . .
two silly boys making faces.
My mom is fabulous to prepare a yummy Easter lunch. She does such a great job decorating the table with all the touches. The boys took notice of course, especially of the treats specifically for each of them.
We stripped the boys down to dye Easter eggs. Both boys did a great job although Wyatt lasted a lot longer as far as attention span.
After the dye was all dry, Wyatt decorated the eggs with stickers and then placed them on the dinner table as part of the decor.
After a delicious Easter lunch, Grammie got out the Easter happies she had picked out for the boys. They were these fun animals that popped/shot balls out. The boys had a blast shooting each other as well as us.
Since the weather was rainy and the yard quite muddy, we opted for an indoor egg hunt this year. Wyatt was all about getting as many eggs as he could that we had to curtail him just a bit to give his brother a chance.
After gathering the eggs, the boys went through each egg and put the candy in a bag for later.
It has been a fantastic day to spend time with our family and Grammie and Papa.
It's hard to believe Baby Lillian will be here soon. I have had consistent contractions starting up and lasting for a few hours every 20-30 minutes today. Although they will dissipate, I feel delivery day is shortly around the bend. All of our baby prep is complete, and this momma is ready. I go to the doctor for my 36 wk check on Tuesday. We have a busy week ahead with work, Wyatt's first baseball game, and I have to renew my pediatric advance life support certification. So. . . I am hoping to get through this week and then baby can come any day after that. We shall see. . .stay tuned. . .
