Wyatt and Mommy Day

Today Wyatt was off school due to Election day and Matt had inservice.  Wyatt asked if the little kids could go to their school so he could have just a day with me.  How awesome!!  It's pretty great to spend time with each child one on one from time to time.  Wyatt and I started off the day watching cartoons in bed for a bit before heading out for a late breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  Wyatt loves their pancakes and sausage for breakfast.   After breakfast we did a little errand running and shopping before meeting up with Daddy at Macaroni Grill for lunch.
I asked what Wyatt wanted to do special today, and he asked to go paint pottery at that place.  That place was Third Coast Pottery, so after lunch we headed there.  Wyatt picked out two little cars to paint and a gift for Daddy to paint.  I picked out a mug to do in preparation for hot chocolate mornings during the cool winter months.

Wyatt did a great job working on his pieces.

Here's a preview of my mug pre-glazing and firing.
I loved getting the chance to spend one on one time with my big Wyatt and building memories!  There's nothing better than sitting with your child and listen to him tell you all about his thoughts, hopes, dreams.  Sweet memories!!
