Closing out May

We have one full month of memories!!  I take a least one picture a day and put in this app I have.   It is fun to look at each month and see little snapshots.
Friday, I took Matt in for his postop appointment with the surgeon followed by his first physical therapy.  They removed the big splint, took some xrays and removed the stitches before he headed over to PT.  He now has a plate, 4 screws and 7 pegs in his wrist securing the bones as they heal.  That is some serious hardware for such a small area.

Next, he had PT where the physical therapist made his custom removable splint right there in a matter of minutes for him.  It was pretty cool.  He then learned the exercises he is suppose to do four times a day in between PT appointments over the next month.  Needless, to say, Matt was worn out after such a big morning and very very sore.
Our sweet girl got some accessories this weekend and LOVES them!
We have also started a new behavior system at our house this weekend.  I made a big chart for the house and smaller charts for the cars and when we are on vacation.  When the kids are doing great, they get to move their clip up the colors and earn charms for their jars.  Once they fill their jars, they get the treat they have picked to work towards.  However, if they make poor choices they have to move their clip down the chart.  If they get to the bottom, they not only lose a privilege, they have to empty their jar and start over.  So far, so good.  The boys get it and it's an easy to use, visual reminder throughout the days and weeks.
Sunday, I finally got around to trying to move our massive mirror into our bedroom.  It's been sitting in the front entryway since we got it waiting for me to figure out where it would be best suited.  I intended for it to be in the bedroom, I just wasn't too sure.  Now, I'm sure and I LOVE it's new spot.  I really need to paint the bedroom at some point as I totally hate the brown color, but that will have to wait for now.

We are looking forward to our fun summer ahead packed with camps for the kids, water play days, swimming, vacations and more!  Stay tuned!!
