Walker's PreK Graduation

It has come time for Walker to graduate from PreK at The Children's Academy.  Wow!  I can't quite believe it.  I put together these little treats for Walker's friends.  He was super excited about giving them to each friend.
The director asked me to be the room mom this year which meant I was to organize and decorate for the reception following graduation.  I worked with his teachers to determine the best theme and we decided on a Hollywood Star theme.  We had a red carpet with each child's star.
I found this cute idea for over sized popcorn boxes on Pinterest.
With this being our craziest day with Wyatt's last day of school, Walker's PreK graduation and Matt's surgery, I was SO thankful to have Sydney in town to help out.  After taking Wyatt to school, I transported kids to the church for graduation practice and set up for the reception.  Sydney stayed with Matt and went to the surgery center when it was time to check in.
I thought it would be fun for a popcorn bar with candy.  It turned out to be a hit!
After setting up and taking the kids back to school after practice, I headed to pick up Wyatt and we hurried over to see Daddy before he had his surgery.  Matt was a trooper and ended up doing surgery with a nerve block and a little anti anxiety meds allowing him to be awake.  This was a blessing as he didn't have to recover from anesthesia and was able to make it to dinner with our family and then the graduation ceremony.
The graduation was SO cute!  Who doesn't love seeing their sweet kiddo perform cute songs and skits and then walk down the aisle in a cap and gown?!!  Priceless!!

Sweet little love checking out the show.

At the end of the ceremony, we presented his teachers, Ms. Turner & Ms. Blackburn with a summer beach bag with goodies, a gift card, and these pencil door hangers for their classrooms.
Next up was a fun reception.  The kids had a blast.  Sadly I didn't get pics as we were busy visiting and watching our kiddos play.

It was a great time.  Although it was a busy day, everything worked out so well and Matt is so happy to have surgery behind him.  We were also so happy Grammie, Papa and CiCi were all able to come too!!
