Scouting, Sickness and More

This week has been up and down and a little all over the place.  The week started out with Madeline not feeling well which meant lots of cuddling, rocking and soothing.
Silliness always prevails though at our house.
Monday night was the Cub Scout Raingutter Regatta for the boys.  They had a great time racing their boats.
Tuesday, Daddy stayed home withe Madeline since she still was feeling so bad.  Tuesday night, after a hard day at school and a few meltdowns, Lillian comes and lays her head on my knee and I see this. Yucky drainage from the ear.  Her ear tubes are in place and working.
Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday for the boys at school during their spirit week.  Here is what they put together.
Lillian was getting into the wackiness too even though she was home with me to start antibiotic ear drops.
We had a pretty low key day of playing and resting for the girls.
Thursday, Lillian was back to school and I was home with this little cutie who had a very hard evening full of crying which is so unlike her.  Despite it all, she was a happy girl during the day.
This weekend was the first Cub Scout campout for the boys at Henry Horton State Park.
While the boys were away setting up camp, the girls had a relaxing night of pizza and princess movies.
Our sweet Madeline is so close to getting up on all fours.  She has started pushing her legs to get closer to a toy when it's out of her reach or she will roll and reach as hard as she can.  It's fun to watch her figure things out.
Since the boys were having a great time camping, the girls went to lunch with Grammie at the Cheesecake Factory and spent the afternoon shopping.
Grammie spoiled us so much and we loved it all.
Last night was the big induction ceremony at the campfire for all of the new scouts.  This is Walker's first official year as a scout and he sure did enjoy the facepainting part for sure.
Today, we have tired boys home now so we are having a low key Sunday.  Madeline has been happily learning about princess play and Star Wars of course with the cards in the bonus room.  Tis the life of the littlest sister.
This coming week will hopefully be a little more routine and hopefully with everyone staying well.
