A Good Week to be Off Work

This was a good week for me to be off work as we had a lot going on.  Monday was typical with the big kids off to school and me home with this sweet joy.
This big guy has adjusted quite well to being in a cast.

By Monday evening, we could tell Madeline didn't feel so well so I checked her ears and sure enough, she has an ear infection.  So Tuesday we headed off to the doctor for antibiotics.  I feel ear tubes are in our future soon.

Walker completed his turkey in disguise project.

Wednesday I spent the day snuggling this cutie.  That afternoon I took to boys to their first brain training session.  They are liking it so far and we hope it is the answer to lots of prayer to help make learning easier for them both.

She perked up from time to time and felt well enough to say her first word Wednesday evening.

Dada it is!
Thursday I got these cute shirts for the girls done.

I even made Lillian's baby doll a shirt as well.  She is thrilled!
Friday we headed back to the ortho doctor to follow up and get the splint casted.  Walker's break is well aligned but not showing signs of healing just yet.  So, in the meantime he is to hold off on doing PE and recess and just basically chill.  We go back next week to follow up.  He will be in this bright orange cast for 3 weeks and then a short arm cast for another 3 weeks.  It's a long road and he is being a trooper about it all.

We have started our Turkey on the Table talking each night about things we are thankful for.  It is a fun and great lesson for us all.
Yesterday, Grammie and Aunt Vivienne came over to play while Matt was in class.  They brought birthday presents for me which was fun.  The box the gift came in has provided loads of play.

Uncle Greg arrived in the afternoon for a short visit too!

Last night we celebrated my birthday.  The kids and Matt picked out a fun gift of a camera.  We have been having fun with it too!

We celebrated with our family tradition of ice cream cake too!

One more week of school before Thanksgiving break.  Wahoo!  It's been a busy month so far with no signs of slowing down.
