What a Week!

Our week has been a doozy!  We started off on Monday with a calm day at home with the fab four as it was President's Day.  The kids played and had fun hanging out all day.  Madeline found Lillian's cozy coupe and is loving climbing in it every chance she gets.
Tuesday night we were having a typical night winding down and getting ready for bed, when Lillian came skipping into our bedroom to put on pajamas.  She tripped and fell right into our bedside bench splitting open her left eyebrow.  Youch!!!  I knew the second I heard the hit that we would be going to the ER.
Grammie came over and drove us to the ER while Matt stayed home with the big kids to calm them down and get them off to bed.  The ER was especially busy so we had to wait for a bit.  Mommy knew just what she wanted in the way of care for Lillian and we had the best resident we could have asked for to take care of our girl.  Dr. Sullivan appeased this momma and did a great job with nasal Versed and stitching her up.  Lillian handled getting her stitches quite well and has no memory of getting it done.
Daddy stayed home with Lillian on Wednesday and spoiled her so.  He took her to breakfast, took her shopping and relaxed at home.
Thursday did not go well when it came time to go to preschool.  Lillian was just not prepared for her friends to be in her personal space with their curiosity.  So Matt ended up keeping her at home again.  Later that afternoon, he took the girls to the park to play.  The weather has been just beautiful.
I have made a lot of progress with getting Lillian to let me clean up her boo boo and take a look.  It took a lot of coaxing and tender loving care to get this far.  She was so proud of how things looked when I was all done.
Friday we timed going to school when her friends would be in circle time and her teacher could help her adjust.  Lillian did great and had a great day!  So, we are on the road to recovery and prepping for Madeline's first birthday!
