Life with our crew is certainly never dull!!
We started our week with a call from the school nurse that Walker had fallen and hit his head on a metal door. He was fine just ended up with one bruised goose egg on his forehead. Wowzer!! Thank goodness for that hard head of his! When he told me what happened he said, "Well, I was running and shouldn't have been." Stinker!
Tuesday I got a text from Madeline's teacher that her ears were draining a ton. Oh course! She has had a runny nose and cough for what seems like forever, It was time for those ears to chime in too! Thank goodness for ear tubes doing their job. I had her clean them up and go on with the day. We have now restarted ear drops.
Tuesday was also face painting day for Lillian's class. Mrs. Sherri did a fabulous job and Lillian was so proud of her rainbow and flower!
Sweet girl!
We're two weeks out now from Lillian's fall and her scar is looking good. She still has a bit of a knot under the scar that we are now massaging in hopes it will subside.
Wednesday I was off work with this sweet joy!
She cracks me up! Her fav thing to do is sit on the step and swing her feet while she drinks her milk. Silly love!
Sword fight! Lil bit sure can hold her own!
Thursday was Daddy's birthday!!
I brought home a special dinner and we had our tradition of ice cream cake followed by presents after dinner!
Friday, well, Friday was just bad from about 10 am on. Ugh! I really don't have much to say about that. It just stunk all around. That afternoon declined even more when our sweet Madeline spiked another high fever. The day finally ended with a trip to the pediatrician and antibiotics for our sweet little trooper of a girl. So come Saturday, it was nice to wake up to a bit of a Spring/Winter Wonderland of beautiful snow falling.
Our sweet baby ran fever all day yesterday and was just a fussy mess off and on throughout the day.
She did perk up for a bit to enjoy the big kids throwing snowballs at the window.
Snow much fun!
Our Lillian loves to play waitress, this is her taking my order. Thought you could use a good laugh.
In honor of Walker's upcoming St. Patty's Day lucky number 7 birthday on Friday, we decided to start a new tradition in our neighborhood and Pinch our neighbors! Fun! The kids had fun leaving the treats on the doorstep of one of our neighbors, ringing the doorbell and running to hide!
Today wrapped up our week with Pinewood Derby! The kids and Daddy worked hard on their designs with a little artistic help from Mommy. They were pumped to get the races started.
The Pack is all set for racing. Papa was able to come cheer on Wyatt, Walker and Lillian too!
In the last races to find out placement overall, both boys were up against each other for fastest car.
The winners were all within 1/1000th of a point of each other! Crazy!!
At the end of it all, Matt talks to the boys about the fun of the Pinewood Derby. He brings out a bag and shows them the pinewood derby cars he has from his childhood, and explains that the racing is fun but the real trophy is the car they hold in their hand that they made with their parent. That's the true treasure, the memories and experience.
And the results are in. . .
Walker won 2nd place overall for fastest car!
Wyatt got 2nd place for best car design!
And Lillian smoked them all in the sibling races before the big nap crash!
Like I said. . . Life is NEVER dull with our crew!!
We're headed into another week of school before Spring Break starts! Hopefully, just hopefully, this week is a little less eventful.
