Our poor little pumpkin has had a rough first week as a one year old. Monday evening she came down with a fever and just felt awful.
Tuesday was her 12 month well check which also become a sick visit. So no flu, just an awful cough, snot and fever. Ugh! So despite feeling like crud, we tried to smile.
Lillian had her laceration check as well on Tuesday. Her booboo is looking great and healing well. What a difference a week makes!
Wednesday we woke up to thunderstorms. As the kids were waking up and coming downstairs to start the morning, the hail hit. Wowzer! Just as Matt was about to head out the door the tornado sirens went off and he quickly came back into the house as I got all the kids in our safe place. As it turns out a tornado did end up touching down in our neighborhood and headed into Cool Springs. Scary. It was just a few streets over. We are so thankful we were safe and sound.
After getting everyone off to school, this sweet love came back home and crashed on me with her high fever. Poor pumpkin!
Thursday I thought we were turning a corner. . .
We worked on breaking the bottle and transitioning to only sippy cups. . .
Our landscape people came and did the yard. . .
And then she woke up from her nap with fever and was pitiful. Boo!
Friday morning wasn't much better. We are both SO over this!!
After crying for almost 30 minutes, so finally crashed.
On the upside, we have made an immense amount of progress on transitioning to the sippy cup. She and I both are ready to hit the bottle after this long week. She has really given me a run for my money.
Friday night was the Cub Scout Blue and Gold banquet. It went great!!
We have had a quite day around the house today. I did get to escape for a bit for a much needed break and pedicure! I did a little crafting done while the boys worked on their pinewood derby cars and the girls napped. Most importantly. . . Madeline has been fever free all day! Wahoo!!
