This week was one week FULL of things starting with the total solar eclipse on Monday! What can I say other than that was an AMAZING experience! Although totality was brief it was quite SPECTACULAR!
The start of the the eclipse.
It's moving across and about halfway here. This is when you could feel the temperature starting to change and the crickets going.
TOTALITY! HOW COOL!!!
Here the diamond is showing through and time to put back on the eclipse glasses! What an amazing experience! Let's do it again. . . oh it will be a few years and we would have to travel to see it in 2024.
Soaking up bedtime sweetness with this love! Amazingly she will let me put her in her crib this awake, and she will lay down and go right to sleep. She's awesome like that!
Wednesday, Walker enjoyed a little nitrous oxide for some not so pleasant dental fixes. This boy has such bad luck with his teeth, but he is a champ through it all.
Our little Lilly is having issue sleeping in her bed all night. I keep reminding myself this will pass, but in the meantime it's sweet waking up to this snuggly angel.
Thursday, Madeline and I went to Hobby Lobby where of course they have out all of the holiday decor. Madeline found some snowmen who quickly became her "babies". She carried them all around the store rocking and bouncing them. It was a little tricky getting out of the store without having to buy one but she happily settled on a little candy toy for a lot less money.
Friday kicked off a big event for Matt and his buddies, the Great Americana BBQ Festival at Harlinsdale farm. The cooking prep started Friday and these guys had a blast prepping and hanging out.
Smell that yummy BBQ smokin'
Matt was there all day Saturday, so I had the Fab Four and lots of activities. First we had Lillian to take to her ballet and tap class. She is so adorable in her little leotard and curl pony.
While she was dancing, Wyatt hung out in the peace and quite at home, while these two little helpers headed to the grocery store with me to get a few items.
Grammie came over for lunch and to hang out with Wyatt and the girls while they napped while I took Walker to his first soccer game of the season. He is on the Taco Bell Tiger Sharks! He played goalie the first half and did a great job with some awesome blocks and saves.
In the second half he even score a goal! Wahoo!! It was a fun start to the soccer season!
Matt was able to come see his game before heading back for the BBQ contest judging announcements! He and his team placed 6th in Pork Butt and 12th in Ribs out of 81 teams there! That was an awesome showing for his first time doing this!
Our littlest love turned 18 months yesterday!! We can't believe she is a year and half old already! She is growing SO fast and talking so much! She has a mind of her own, is so laid back and happy! We love our Maddie Ann to pieces!
Last night Lillian's friend Haley came to play while her parents went out. The girls had a blast playing, dancing, twirling, pretending and more!
It's been one FULL weekend, and we're resting up today and prepping for another full week! I can't believe August is wrapping up and next weekend is Labor Day weekend! Wow!
