Wyatt's 3rd Birthday & Trip to Atlanta!

These past few days have been BUSY at our house. We took Wyatt to Atlanta for a fun family trip including a mini celebration of his 3rd birthday! We had a BLAST!!!!

We started our trip off at the World of Coca-Cola Museum. When we were waiting in line to purchase tickets a nice lady gave me FREE tickets! Thank you! Thank you! That was an awesome treat! We weren't sure how Wyatt would like this museum, but he seemed to have a great time!
Here is Wyatt doing his "yipee" dance.

At the end of the self-guided tour they have a room with over 64 different products produced by Coca-Cola Company from around the world. Some were very strange. Some were way to carbonated. Some were just plain gross!! But we had to give them a try out of curiosity. Wyatt LOVED this part of the tour because he got to "do myself" as he filled his cups with different drinks.

After a the World of Coca-Cola, we took Wyatt out to Discover Mills. It is a huge shopping center, a lot like Opry Mills, but it has the oh so awesome LEGO store! Wyatt had so much fun in there checking out all the legos as well as several of their foam axes and swords. Whoever invented those seriously needs to be decaputated! I don't know how many times we had to tell Wyatt to cool it! Whew! After purchasing a few birthday presents, we went to eat. Wyatt wanted to ride the carousel in the middle of the mall. Of course! He was so precious as he came out each time doing something cute for the camera. He flashed his 3 fingers to annouce that he is 3, waved, cheesy smiled, and blew a sweet kiss. Too cute. It was one heck of a packed day, and surprisingly, Wyatt did fabulous even WITHOUT a nap! Shocker!

Tuesday morning we woke up to our little man turning 3! Happy Birthday! We let him open just a small gift to start his day! Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger! Yea! Check out this sweet pea! It is amazing to think about how much he has blessed us over the past three years!
Wyatt's new cheesy smile! Happy Birthday baby!
To start off Wyatt's birthday day we took him to Imagine It!, the Children's Museum of Atlanta. We spent all morning there checking out all there is to do, playing with EVERYTHING, and just having a blast. Wyatt loves "cooking" in the kitchen. It is so fun to see his imagination at work. It really is blossoming and is just precious to see.
Here is Wyatt preparing something special in the kitchen.
On the day we were there it was the last day of their Tales from the Castle exhibit. Wyatt loved playing with all the castle displays, building with blocks, sitting in the throne, and "cooking" in their castle kitchen.
Here is our royal family.
One of the activities they had for the kids was a painting wall. The kids could paint all over the wall and when they were done, they would squeegy it off for the next child. Wyatt had fun getting to paint on the wall! It is such a neat idea. Hopefully, he won't try it on our walls at home! Yikes!

Wyatt painting so carefully.

Here is his masterpiece!

Another activity that was neat was a moon sand table where the kids could play and build castles. Wyatt and Daddy had fun building a creation and knocking it down. That is the best part you know!

Finally, we saved the water play for the very end. Wyatt went "pishing" in the water. After a morning of some serious play it was time for lunch and a much needed nap.
Our afternoon fun was the most spectacular in my view. We took Wyatt to the Georgia Aquarium. It is the world's largest aquarium. It was AWESOME! We started off in the ocean exhibit. AMAZING! They have a HUGE, I mean HUGE, tank that holds 4 whale sharks measuring 18 feet right now. They can grow up to 60 feet, and this tank was built to accomodate that! WOW! They have all kinds of sharks, sting rays, huge fish, a manta ray, and SO MUCH more in this one tank. There was an under water tunnel you could walk through and at the end of the exhibit was a huge room with a SPECTACULAR view of the tank where you could just sit and be mesmorized by the wonder of it all.

2 of the whale sharks and the manta ray!
It is hard to capture how big this tank is compared to our little man.
The next area we went to was the cold water tanks. We saw a beautiful beluga whale who was having the best time turning flips in the water and showing off. Beautiful!
We went to the River tanks too. Wyatt had fun running through and seeing all the fish, otters, and of course the alligators. I think they are checking him out for dinner. He is pretty sweet!
After running all around the Georgia Aquarium for several hours, it was time to have some birthday cake! Yea! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear WYATT!!! Happy birthday to you!!!
Wyatt ate a little ice cream cake, but was much more interested in opening his birthday presents. Remember the LEGO store. Well, I guess he had already forgotten about it, so yea for the surprise! He loved having Daddy put together the LEGOs to play with. I forsee many many days and nights putting Legos together with daddy.
To round out our trip we took Wyatt to the Atlanta Zoo. It's not a very big zoo, but still fun stuff to see. Wyatt did well checking out all the animals, but you could tell he was starting to wear down. We spent the morning walking around and pointing out all the animals. By the end, we were all tired and ready to go home.

Silly face boys!

We really had a blast in Atlanta. Wyatt had fun celebrating his birthday too! We still have plenty more coming up this week. Uncle Jordan and cousin Jacob are coming in town Friday. On Saturday is the birthday party at Bounce U. Wyatt has been asking everyday, "when we gonna bounce?" Saturday bud! Saturday! Yea!

Stay tuned for more of our adventures of Wyatt's birthday week. It ain't over yet. Man, June is going to be so boring. Oh well, we will need a break I'm sure!
