Weaning into a new Routine

This week started a new routine at our house. School is about to start back and it was time to start Walker in daycare. Mommy was sad, but knew it was inevitable. I decided it would be best to take advantage of weaning Walker into this new routine by going half days this week. Tuesday was the day. Angie, the director of the Children's Academy, knew Mommy was sad, so she sent me some pics on my phone. It MADE MY DAY!!! Walker did excellent. Angie told me the only things she saw that he will need to adjust to are napping without being swaddles and the sound of babies crying. I told her Walker rarely cries, so he is definitely not used to other babies crying. He will adjust. He is being spoiled which I love as he is only 1 of 3 babies in the nursery. Wyatt is so excited that Walker goes to his "teacher" (this is what Wyatt calls school). Wyatt's teachers allow him to come look through the nursery window to check on him during the day. So sweet!

On Wednesday I went to pick Wyatt up and have a special Mommy date. We went out for ice cream and just talked. He is growing up just SO fast and these dates are just so special for me to spend some one on one time without the chaos of our lives interfering.
We have had quite a lazy weekend here just playing and hanging out. Wyatt was under the weather so we just relaxed and let him rest. Walker continues to be such a happy boy.

Could he be any happier?!?!!
On to another week, one I hope is not as hot as last week. We have another appointment for Walker with the plastic surgeon to look at his head again. After two months of watching and praying for change, it looks like we are going to end up needing some helmet therapy. Oh well, it's better than surgery and we can decorate the helmet to look cute. We will just see. Matt starts back to school with kids on Thursday. We hope it is a smooth day. Have a great week everyone!
