Pumpkins & Silly Faces

This week has been busy around here. We had helmet check for Walker and all is going well. Dr. Kelly had them shave out the front left where we need his forehead to grow into (this is where the flat spot is). This past week also brought a project for school that Wyatt had to complete. We had fun creating his little man to be similar to him. Here is Wyatt's little guy complete with a Longhorns hat, crocs, Sonic slush and favorite sticker book with all kinds of stickers of his favorite things. He was quite proud of how it turned out.
It has been super hot this past week and hard to believe that it is fall. Wyatt has been obsessed with pumpkins ever since Matt bought a pumpkin carving kit that was on sale at the grocery. Wyatt has asked EVERY day this week if we could do pumpkins. Saturday Matt and Wyatt found this little pumpkin at the grocery store and Matt just couldn't say no to the pleading from Wyatt to get it. So once they got home Wyatt was so excited and ready to carve the pumpkin. With a little assistance from Matt we now have ourselves a September jack-o-lantern.
The pumpkin obsession has not ended though. Wyatt also wanted to cook something this weekend, so Matt got out our cupcake idea book and of course, Wyatt picked out pumpkin decorated cupcakes. So. . . here we go, more pumpkins in September. Bring on the fall weather, we are past ready!!!
We have also been busy getting a kick out of Walker's new facial expressions. He has learned just this week how to stick out his tongue in all sorts of degrees. We think he might have gotten his Daddy's tongue. For those of you who know, Matt can do some crazy shapes including making his tongue into the shape of a "W". Crazy, I know. Well, Walker is attempting this same craziness along with some other funny faces. Here are just a few of the silly faces of Walker.
Well, the temperature outside is starting to trend downward into the classic fall weather I love. Hopefully it will stay this way for awhile. We don't have much planned this week, just the enjoyment of our sweet family. Here is a cute video of one of our precious joys with Wyatt trying to get Walker to "talk" to us. Enjoy!
