Birthday Party Weekend

This past weekend has been a blast. We had family come into to town to visit and help celebrate Walker's first birthday! Yay! Wyatt and Jacob have been talking about seeing each other for weeks now and these two are so fun to watch interact. Truly such boys having fun laughing, playing and running around together.
These two little guys have so much to look forward to. For now, they just stare at each other, grab each other's food and smile a whole bunch. Such cuties!
Our guest got into town the night of Walker's actual birthday, so we had a little cake and ice cream celebration after dinner. This was a quite practice run prior to the party. I don't think Walker was so sure about the candles.
On Friday, the weather was GORGEOUS!!! We spent the day playing, playing and playing outside in the morning. We attempted to get a photo of CiCi with all the grandboys. You can see how that turns out. Either the babies aren't looking at the camera or the older ones aren't looking at the same time or making silly faces. Ahhh, life with boys! What could be better!
We walked down the the park in our neighborhood to play. All the boys had a blast.
And. . . wore out.
Saturday we did a little breakfast and lunch in downtown Franklin. Such a beautiful downtown area with great restaurants with character. We ate breakfast at Puckett's Grocery. Yummy! And we had lunch at Meridee's Bread Basket. Super Yummy too! After breakfast we attempted to get another pic of boys. How crazy are we?! Again, I think the Y chromosome keeps them from all looking at the camera and smiling nicely. Instead, after 50+ pics, this is one of the decent results.
Finally, the big first birthday party. Here are the pics from our fun. Walker has been such a sweet joy and it was so fun to have so much family around to help celebrate his first birthday.

Walker and CiCi
Walker wasn't too into opening his presents. No big deal. However, he sure has had a blast playing with them all. Wyatt and Jacob were master package openers, so they helped break into all the gifts.
Watching Walker with his smash cake was just so cute! He did not hold back.
The before, during and aftermath.

This weekend was so much fun! After such a busy, eventful time we are going back to reality. Time to make many more memories with our sweet boys and continue to watch with awe the amazing little blessings that they are. Thanks so much for all who came this weekend and those who helped celebrate sweet Walker!
