Whew! It has been one very full week at our house. We have been doing all sorts of holiday activities around here. The kids love to be crafty like their mommy, and I happily oblige.
Our elves have been up to some fun things around our house. Monday they made their own little tree complete with mini train set.
Lillian was quite in awe of their fun.
Monday evening, Madeline really discovered our big Christmas tree. She and Lillian had fun looking and perfecting the ornament placement.
Tuesday our elves were zip lining around our living room.
Wednesday they channeled their inner Rudolph and brought a little treat for the kids as well.
Thursday they brought out the mustache fun.
Thursday evening we went for our annual trip to the library for a visit with Santa. The big kids knew that Madeline would probably cry, so they were instructed to just keep smiling. It's always fun to see the reactions.
Madeline figured out she was on Santa's lap and wasn't too thrilled.
The big kids telling Santa their Christmas wishes.
Friday morning the kids woke up to elves that let them know they are always watching.
Friday was Madeline's surgery for ear tubes. Poor baby has had an ear infection for almost 6 weeks straight. We had a great team of doctors and nurses caring for our sweet girl. She did great!
After a stellar nap in the morning she was ready to play. She took several more naps than usual but was happy when awake.
Friday night the big kids went to spend the night at Grammie and Papa's house where they decorated their Christmas tree, played games, and made gingerbread cookies.
When they came home, the elves were waiting with a little fun.
Saturday, Grammie helped out with taking Walker to a birthday party and helping us keep busy while Matt had his last class for the semester. We decorated cookies and had a great time.
This morning the elves delivered another great holiday activity which has kept the kids busy for awhile today. (Wyatt wasn't interested in having his pic taken as he colored his house, but he did a fabulous job.)
We are enjoying the holiday season, but are hoping to have a little less busy of a week this week. We just want to enjoy soaking up the magic and joy of the holidays as it seems to go by so very fast.
