Finishing February

Finishing out the month of February has been quiet, laid back, but still busy for the Wyatt man. We received some baby gear this week that included a changing table and newborn sleeper. Wyatt has such a blast getting his tools out to help Daddy put the changing table together. He was such the helper too! He spent a good amount of time sawing open the box with this play saw, but he was successful in getting it open.
Working on getting into the box.
He loved helping Daddy sort through the pieces. He quickly relented when he saw he would get to use Daddy's tools to help put the table together. Such a cutie!
Middle of the week brought strep throat for Wyatt. Poor thing. At least he wasn't as sick as last time, just fever, whiney, and "mouth & tummy hurts". He has bounced back quite nicely.
Friday Wyatt and Daddy met me in Cool Springs after my doctor's appointment to do a little more shopping and eat dinner. After dinner Wyatt wanted to go to Build a Bear to make something for himself. Last time he was there was to make a dog for baby Walker. This time he picked the same dog out for himself. It is so cute to watch him kiss the heart to go in the dog, give the dog a special bath, name him, and carry him through the mall in the special house.
Lefty is the dog's name (after Grump's dog) and this is a dog Mommy can live with :)
Yesterday was busy for Wyatt too! He went to breakfast with daddy so mommy could sleep (I wish, right?! Totally unable to sleep for more than 1-2 hrs at a time). Later in the morning we went to Williamson Medical Center for Wyatt's Brother-to-be class. It was priceless!!! The teacher was great as there were three 3 year olds to contend with and maintain their attention. It was so precious to see Wyatt holding the baby doll to practice, see his eyes light up when we saw a baby in the nursery viewing window, and talk about becoming a big brother. So very cute!! We hope his excitement last once Walker arrives!
Quick baby update:
So I'm 35 wks and feeling all the discomfort that comes with the final few weeks of pregnancy (i.e. ligament pain, more contractions & lack of sleep). I am starting to dilate more which is good. I am off the Terbutaline which helped stopped contractions, so at least I don't have the jitters and racing heart rate anymore. Walker is still head down, but is also still able to move his hiney up into my ribs, so he's not engaged quite yet like I thought he was. I am still having some big contractions, but nothing too consistent to send us to the hospital. I am trying to fight the nesting urge as it causes me to really get going on the contractions. So. . . it looks like it might be a few more weeks. We'll keep ya posted. I am going to the doctor weekly now until I deliver. It is hard to believe how close we are to becoming a family of 4!!!
