This past week was the start of our new summertime routines. This summer the plan is a lot of playing both outside and inside, continued learning and loads of time together as a family of 6.
Our neighbors who are moving gave us this cool attachment to make a bike for 2. It's fun to watch the boys ride with daddy.
Monday started off relaxed as I soaked up time with the kids on my last day of my last maternity leave.
Eventually the kids headed out to the backyard for some play.
I finished up some super cute cookies for a work party.
And soaked up a lot of snuggles with my sweet Madeline.
Tuesday was my first day back to work and Matt's first full day with all four kids. It went as good as it could. I missed being home terribly but know my kids are having a blast with daddy and this is our life. Balancing life at home and work is key.
Daddy was great about sending me pics.
After work one evening I worked with Walker and Lillian on our letter K crafts.
Daddy is such a good sport with our girly girl. Lillian thought he needed a little hair stylin.
Saturday Matt had class, so Grammie came over to help out and play. She brought a sprinkler toy that was a total hit. The kids had a blast. The morning was overcast and just perfect for some water play in the backyard.
Madeline has perfected chilling out. Ha!
Yesterday afternoon we did our letter L crafts making ladybugs.
Walker even joined in on our fun.
After crafting it was pool time. Daddy took the big three while I stayed home with Madeline who was napping. The kids were so excited to see their friends at the pool and play.
While Daddy prepped dinner Wyatt helped me with a fussy Madeline. He is such a good big brother!!
We are enjoying our long weekend together. This week we have planned more playtime, letter crafts and reading practice, bowling and more. We're off to a great summer routine so far.
