So this post is rather eclectic with a mish mash of things.
To start with, a quick baby update. I have been up for the past several nights until the wee hours of the morning having some rather promising contractions. So, needless to say, I was expecting some cervical change and hope of an impending delivery soon. Well. . . nope! Nothing has progressed any further than the past 2 weeks which is NOT what I wanted to hear. It was hard not to cry in the office, and I did manage to hold it together until I got to the car. All I could think about was how I am going to get through this next week if I'm up all the time with contractions and heartburn despite all kinds of treatment. Baby Walker HAS to be running out of room with the way he kicks and moves around making all kinds of crazy shapes with my belly. Why was baby Walker so eager to get out early when he needed to keep cooking and now he seems to have completely changed his mind?! I completely went into pity party mode yesterday. But today is a new day. I realize I can handle this and baby Walker will be here soon enough causing a different kind of sleepless night.
So, today I decided to keep myself busy by cleaning the house, doing laundry, and making some tshirts for Wyatt. Here are my creations for Wyatt. I will probably do some more on onesies for Walker since they are quite easy and quick to make.
In other news, Wyatt was acting rather different around lunch time today. Laying on the sofa, being rather clingy and not his playful self. Well, when he laid his head down on me I quickly realized he was sick with fever. He has some classic symptoms when it comes to being sick, so I asked if anything hurts. The answer. . . my tummy & mouth hurt. So off he went for a walk-in strep test as these are his typical symptoms. Sure enough, strep throat again. Poor baby! I guess it is a good thing that I'm not in the hospital with a new baby or home with the baby and trying to keep the boys separated.
And finally, some fun stuff for Wyatt. Cici sent an Easter care package for Wyatt that was quite a huge box. When Wyatt woke up from his nap this afternoon we cracked it open. Wyatt was impressed with all the fun books and oodles of treats. His favorite were the Curious George stamp set which we quickly had to bust into and the confetti eggs.
Stamping.
Wyatt with all his treats. I know he doesn't look thrilled even though he was. Remember he did have a 102 fever and just woke up from a nap. (Like our new sofa? It is super comfy, microfiber, that totally had grape juice spilled all over it last night which completely came out with a damp cloth! Gotta love that!) Cracking confetti eggs.
Here are Wyatt & Daddy being the crack heads that they are. Ha Ha!
