Photo Fun and Cupcakes Too!

I'm finally getting around to getting this post finished. (I started it on Sunday.) Anyway, here it is.
I am loving soaking up my family of four. I feel quite blessed to have two of the most ADORABLE boys in my life. Couple these two gifts with my love of taking their picture and voila! a post is created. It is just joy to me to capture Wyatt & Walker together, to capture the newbornness that is Walker, and be able to share my precious blessings on this blog. Here are a few shots from this weekend.
Sweet kisses from big brother.
Precious Walker
How cute is the precious boy. I can see some of Wyatt's features, but really, Walker is uniquely his own little peanut of cuteness!
Big Brother and Little Brother together. Love how Walker kept looking to Wyatt recognizing his voice. So sweet!
One AWESOME big brother!
One sweet little brother.
Wyatt really loves being our big helper. On Saturday he decided he was ready to try to change Walker's diaper. By all means, help yourself ;) We got the diaper and wipes all ready and let Wyatt give it a shot. After unfastening the sides of the diaper, Wyatt decided he was good and Mommy could finish. I just love that Wyatt shows such an interest in helping and not a jealous side.
On Saturday Walker's cord stump fell off which means TUB BATH!!! Yeah! Again, Wyatt was quite interested in being my big helper. He helped get the water temperature perfect and helped gently pour water over Walker. I was a bit nervous that Wyatt might be over eager and splash water in Walker's face, but he was so tender and careful not to. It was great! Walker, however, was a bit unsure of the whole experience. I'm sure with time he too will become quite the fish that Wyatt is in the tub.In other news, for those of you who know me, you know I am not the cook of the house. In fact, I really don't do any cooking at all. Matt is our family cook, and I am not about to take that away because a) he enjoys it and b) I love not having to worry about it. I am trying to make sure Wyatt gets his own special time with Mommy since Walker gets a LOT of time with Mommy due to nursing. So this weekend, I did manage to "cook" with Wyatt. (Matt says I mixed, stirred and poured. Well, honey, I did have to preheat an oven, set a timer, and colored icing too, and that, my dear, is my definition of cooking ;) Ha!) Wyatt and I made some yummy cupcakes that we decorated with Easter themed toothpicks CiCi had sent him. Wyatt loved sticking in the toothpicks. He really loved getting to finally taste his creation. He came running to me as I was cleaning up and exclaimed, "These are SO GOOD, Mommy!" Here are some pics of the proud decorator.
Proud of his toothpicked cupcakes.
Wyatt enjoying his treat.
It was a fun weekend for us and we are looking forward to the upcoming Easter weekend. The weather is suppose to be gorgeous, so I'm sure I'll have pics to share. Check back with us tomorrow too! Walker is going to be 2 weeks old and we will have a check up tomorrow. I'm excited to see his weight. I'm sure he is back to birth weight and maybe surpassed it a bit. Stay tuned!
