One Heck of a Week

It's been one heck of a week around our house. We started the week with Wyatt being sick with a stomach bug that we thought had past as of Sunday night. Not quite. Matt had to go pick him up from school that morning because he had throw up. When he got home we noticed his eyelids were a bit red and swollen, so we gave him some Benadryl. Of course the Benadryl knocked him out and he took a 4 hour nap. When he woke up I noticed he was scratching his back and his neck and inner ears were covered in hives. We ended up in the doctors office within 10 minutes of calling them and by then Wyatt was COVERED in hives. Poor baby! He was diagnosed with some kind of viral urticaria and given Benadryl and steroids.
Tuesday Wyatt was much better but I kept him home to monitor him. Tuesday was also Matt's birthday and we were hoping to do something special. However, after Matt got home I started feeling like crap and by the evening Matt was also feeling bad and started throwing up. What a fun birthday huh? So we were struck with the stomach bug. Let me just say is stinks to have the stomach bug and be 36 weeks pregnant. Ugh!!! It has taken a few days and it looks like we are over that fun run. Ha Ha!

Now, for the past two nights I have been having "practice" contractions that are getting worse day by day but still not enough to head to the hospital. Did I mention we are SOOOOO ready to meet this sweet baby?! I keep hoping that the contractions will either worsen, stick around longer or my water will break. We shall see. I am slowly losing my ability to be patient and enjoy these last days of pregnancy. At least the contractions are managable just quite tiring for my back. We'll keep ya posted.
